Max Gamer
- In category: Have You Heard About...
Max Gamer is a comic book about a super-cool, super-hero kid who just happens to have Asperger’s. The authors are the good doctors of South East Psych and are committed to empowering kids to recognize their gifts & talents. We especially liked the all-too-typical bumpy relationship between Max (the hero) and his older sister, Sara. They certainly don’t always appreciate each other in day-to-day life, but when it comes to fighting aliens, they make an incredible team. Dr. Temple Grandin had this to say about it: “I think it will help all the smart Aspie kids feel proud of themselves. I would have liked this comic when I was a teenager who was being teased.” Need we say more?
Pur Gum
- In category: Have You Heard About...
Pur Gum is pure parental joy; something that tastes as good as the junk your kids see on television commercials with none of the actual junk. Most gums on the market are made with the ingredient Aspartame – a man-made synthetic sweetener that’s been linked to many diseases. The FDA has listed 92 acknowledged symptoms of aspartame poisoning (we’re not making this stuff up). Here’s a way to treat your kids without the worry of harmful chemicals. It comes in four fabulous flavors – and let’s face it – the branding is just so clean and beautiful. So pick your favorite! Ours is the pink (pomegranate mint) of course!
Tangle Teezer
- In category: Things That Feel Good
We love this strange little brush. Something about the way it is designed (no handle, lots of flexible bristles, and it’s unique shape) makes it easy to maneuver and really gentle on even the most sensitive scalp. Tangle Teezer is out of the UK and has created a kids version, but we prefer the original (a lot cooler) in one of five great colors. You can order them directly from tangleteezer.com
